A Step-Mom’s Prayer for Strength

Father God,

It takes a village to raise a child. Right now, my stepchild’s village isn’t working together. You know my heart, Lord, and You know it’s stressed out and tired. Giving up is not an option. That’s why I’m coming to You for strength.

This village (parents, grandparents, aunts uncles) anyone who has influence in my stepchild’s upbringing can come together. If You strengthen us, Lord, we can make a great life for the children. We need Your Holy Spirit. I need Your Holy Spirit. I ask that You know my heart and remove bitterness, un-forgiveness and clamor within me. Replace it with the joy, peace and temperance of the Holy Spirit.

I pray that my stepchild’s mom and other family members quit seeing me as an adversary. I pray that we love the children enough to be kind to one another.

In Jesus, Name,
